The Atomi Dash app connects to a local WiFi hotspot from the Dash Cam

Connecting Your Device

Step 1: Download App

Download the Atomi Dash app from the App Store or Google Play. The dash cam uses WiFi to connect a smartphone to the Atomi Dash app so the dash cam can operate using a smart device.

Step 2: Enter Dash Cam System Menu

Enter the dash cam system menu, select the WiFi menu, and select ON to enter the WiFi page. It will display the WiFi account and password.

OPTIONAL: The WiFi can also be turned on by long pressing RIGHT during the preview screen.

Step 3: Enter WiFi Settings

Open the phone’s WiFi settings and click “ATOMI-Dash_xxxx”. Enter the dash cam WiFi password and press CONTINUE to complete the connection. The default WiFi password for the dash cam is 87651234. Users can customize the WiFi name of the dash cam

network in the “SSID” option. Use the “WiFi Password” option to also customize the password.

Note: Changing the SSID or WiFi password will cause the camera to disconnect from the phone. Connect to your phone’s WiFi again using the new SSID or password. If you revert to default settings, the SSID or WiFi password will also be restored.

Step 4: Connect WiFi to Dash Cam

Open the Atomi Dash app and click CONNECT at the bottom of the app to enter the preview screen. The dash cam can now be operated through the app.

Transferring Files

Transfer files from the CAMERA FILES to the SAVED FILES (Gallery) on the app. While connected to the Dash Cam network, press the photos icon (1), select the video (2), and press download (3).

Note: It is recommended to transfer the video file to the computer before playing to reduce delays during playback.

GPS Tracking

GPS tracking is only displayed when the video is transferred from CAMERA FILES to the SAVED FILES (Gallery) on the app connected to the internet.
• After transferring the videos to the SAVED FILES (Gallery) on the app, disconnect your phone from “ATOMI-Dash_xxxx” and ensure it’s connected to the internet.
• The map with GPS tracking will be displayed below the recorded video that is being played, showing the track records at the same time.

Notes: To view GPS tracking, the app needs a connection to the map. Please keep the phone’s access to the internet (WiFi or 4G).

GPS Conditions: In some cases, the GPS may not be able to track the location because of specific circumstances. Extreme weather may cause signal interference, or when the GPS is obstructed or parked underground, the GPS cannot accurately locate the satellite and the camera may not be able to locate it. When the dash cam is turned on, the GPS requires a few seconds to search for satellites and complete positioning. During this time, the GPS may not be able to accurately track the location.

Video Resolutions

Maybe the frequency of the light source is wrong. Change the frequency setting of the dash cam to 50HZ or 60HZ in the settings.

Wipe the windshield with glass cleaner and clean it with a cloth. Remove the protective film and if it doesn’t work, heat the windshield and try again. Additionally, clean the sucker and soak it in warm water for a while

This is normal. The dash cam requires an external power supply of 5V 2A, and it cannot be turned on without an external power source. Because this 4K dual-lens dash cam requires a large current, the built-in battery is mainly used to save data and support  parking guards.

Please check that the charging cable is properly connected. Insert the needle into the “R” hole of the dash cam, hold it down for 3 seconds, and release it. The dash cam will restart automatically. If this does not work, format the memory card in the menu. Recheck that the dash cam is back to normal.

If the dash cam crashes during use, insert a thin needle into the dash cam “R” hole, hold it down for 3 seconds, and release. The dash cam will automatically restart.

Newly purchased memory cards need to be formatted locally before use. Make sure your dash cam is plugged into a power source, then press MENU twice to enter the setup menu.
